The utilisation of repurposed shipping containers to create commercial, industrial, and residential spaces is experiencing a remarkable surge in popularity. The emergence of retail stores, offices, check-in stations, and even "pop-up" bars constructed from modified shipping
containers attests to their adaptability and cost-effectiveness. These containers offer a myriad of benefits, including enhanced safety, making them an ideal choice for a wide range of projects.

As part of their Year 9 DESIGN curriculum, students were tasked with designing a business and shipping container fit-out for an exciting new eco development project on the scenic Gold Coast. Armed with two shipping containers and a designated plot of land, these students embarked on a creative journey. They delved into existing designs, seeking inspiration, and then unleashed their imaginations to conceive fresh and distinctive concepts. Employing sketches to outline the shipping containers' configuration, exterior aesthetics, interior floor plans, and landscaping elements, they brought their ideas to life.

This project required me to create a new, creative, and potentially popular business to open on the Gold Coast.
